SmartShift, a Mahindra Group venture, organised SmartSeva Vaahan campaign with an objective to meet transporters, and provide them solutions. Held over 10 days, the campaign covered all the transport clusters in Mumbai, creating in part an awareness about SmartShift app. SmartShift is an on-demand logistics provider that specialises in the provision of small commercial vehicles for intra-city and last-mile requirements. With its reverse auctioning technology platform and real-time ability to track vehicles, SmartShift is aiming to make daily logistics requirements of SMEs efficient by at least 30 per cent. For transporter partners, SmartShift features phone integration, efficient pricing through return trips and focus on community building. This is expected to help tide over highly inefficient and incumbent transport ecosystem. Driven by the ambitious goal of owning cargo transportation in the country, SmartShift currently services more than 900 pin codes in three Indian cities.
