Navi Mumbai residents will be able to avail public bus service on the newly inaugurated Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) now. Connecting the twin city to South Mumbai the 21.8 km long Atal Setu is India’s longest and world’s12th longest sea bridge. Following, the public demand to start bus service on this route, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking has started the first app-based public bus service from World Trade Centre to Konkan Bhavan, CBD on March 14, 2024, Thursday.

The air-conditioned (AC) premium bus service S-145 will commence in the morning from Konkan Bhavan, CBD Belapur, and in the evening from the World Trade Centre (WTC). The bus will take following bus stops, World Trade Centre (WTC), Yashwantrao Chavan Centre (Mantralaya), Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Chowk, Chhattarpati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) GPO, Eastern Freeway, Atal Setu, Ulwe Node, Kile Gavathan, Baman Dongari Railway station, Konkan Bhavan, CBD Belapur.  The minimum ticket for the service is Rs.50, while the maximum is Rs 225.

The construction of this iconic bridge began in April 2018 and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 12, January 2024.
