At the Bauma 2019 expo that took place in Germany in April 2019, it were the cranes that turned out to be the highlight. Terex and Demag Crane equipment clocked impressive sales at the event, according to sources close to the company. If various types of tower cranes proved to be attractive, mobile cranes also found much traction. Telangana-based crane operator, York Cranes, purchased a Demag AC 250-5 all terrain crane to expand its fleet. Liebherr sold  a trolley assist system for its T 236 new 100-tonne mining truck to VA Erzberg, which intends to electrify the main haul road of its Erzberg mine site and operate a fleet of T 236 trucks from 2021. The company also premiered two mobile cranes in the form of a five-axle 230 tonne LTM 1230-5.1 model and the LR 1800-1.0 model with a maximum lifting capacity of 800 tonnes. Raimondi Cranes SpA premiered the LRH174 tower crane, which boasts of easier installation, and is capable of raising the jib to 85-degrees in 1.8 minutes. Manitowoc launched an impressive new unit in the five-axle category and two new three-axle models. At 78.5 m, the GMK5250XL-1 has the longest main boom of any five-axle all-terrain crane. It combines it with the best lifting capabilities in the industry. Tadano presented two new all-terrain models from its ATF product line in the four- and five-axle segment. It also presented a three-axle ATF 60G-3 crane. Tadano also let visitors experience the telescopic boom crawler crane GTC-800, which it launched recently. The company also displayed an upgraded version of its tried and tested HK series of truck mounted cranes in the form of GT-750EL. Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. premiereded the CKE3000G and CKS3000 lifting cranes.

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. displayed ZCC1300 crawler crane and ZRT850 rough terrain crane with safety features, intelligent control and management system. UNIC Cranes Europe premiered a Cube Crane, which is one of the most advanced mini cranes in the world, and features a three-section derricking boom that enables it to be set at an angle of up to 95 degrees. It also features a five-section fold away boom, making it highly versatile. SANY displayed excavators, cranes, motor graders, rollers, piling machinery and port machinery at Bauma 2019. Interestingly, around 40 cranes formed the famous Bauma-silhouette this year. With more than 600 heavyweight vehicles being used for the construction and dismantling of the show, Bauma 2019 occupied 614,000 square meters of exhibition space at Munich. Weighing 1,070 tons, which would correspond to the weight of 25 airplanes, the Liebherr LR 1800 crawler crane was the absolute heavyweight of all the exhibits. Among truck makers, Scania displayed five construction trucks, including the new XT heavy tipper. Joining Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Penta, Volvo Trucks displayed its range of construction trucks on the FMX and FH platform.
