Prashanta, CEO, Voltrider Pvt. Ltd, commented at the launch saying “At Voltrider, we have always endeavoured to develop products which strike a perfect balance between utility, style and financial viability. The underlying idea has always been to create products which are utility-oriented, technologically sound, energy efficient, affordable and green so that they can have a far reaching social impact, under the brand name VOLTON.”
“With the technology perfected and under our belt, we have introduced two variants. The Volton Bajrangi and the Volton Rick. Keeping in line with our safety concern we decided to use the LiFePo4 (Lithium Ferro Phosphate Batteries) in all three variants. In addition, all variants have the option to be GPS enabled. However, the challenge was of keeping the financial viability for the customers in mind for which we sourced almost 85 per cent of the components locally, reducing the production cost and making the vehicles serviceable by any regular next-door cycle mechanic”, claimed Prashant.
