Montra Electric, the clean mobility brand of the Murugappa Group, launched the ‘SUPER CARGO’ electric three-wheeler in Delhi, aiming to transform last-mile cargo delivery with a high-performance, customer-focused solution. Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director of TI Clean Mobility Private Limited, unveiled the vehicle and signed MOUs for over 200 units. Roy Kurian, Business Head – Last Mile Mobility, Saju Nair, CEO – Small Commercial Vehicles, and other key stakeholders also attended the launch.
The SUPER CARGO uses a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery to deliver a best-in-class on-road range of 170 km. Its drivetrain generates 70 Nm of torque and 11 kW peak power, with a 23% gradeability, supporting a 1.2-tonne gross vehicle weight to handle varied cargo loads effortlessly. Montra built the vehicle on a strong Boron Steel chassis, designed it with the longest wheelbase in its category, and equipped it with a spacious driver’s cabin and a 6.2-foot load tray for demanding delivery operations.
For safety and efficiency, Montra added front disc brakes, hill-hold, reverse assist, seat belt provisions, regenerative braking, and multiple drive modes. The company offers three cargo body variants—Tray eCX, 140 cu.ft. eCX d, and 170 cu.ft. eCX d+—along with two fast-charging models—Tray eQX and 170 cu.ft. eQX d+—that support 100% charging in just 15 minutes through a partnership with Exponent Energy.
Jalaj Gupta stated that Montra is expanding its presence across the mobility ecosystem, building on earlier launches like SUPER AUTO in the passenger segment, RHINO for first-mile logistics, and EVIATOR for mid-mile deliveries. Roy Kurian noted that the SUPER CARGO serves both fleet operators and individual entrepreneurs, backed by Montra’s expanding dealer network. Arun Vinayak, Co-founder of Exponent Energy, confirmed that their fast-charging technology will boost vehicle uptime and support a wider clean mobility rollout.
Montra has opened bookings for the SUPER CARGO in over 90 cities and offers it in four color options: Chilli Red, Steel Grey, Indian Blue, and Stallion Brown.
