
Greaves Cotton Ltd. has appointed Vinay Pawar as Group Chief Technology Officer (GCTO), effective May 4, 2026, as the company strengthens its focus on future mobility technologies and next-generation product development.
Based in Pune, Vinay Pawar will lead the Group’s technology roadmap across product innovation, digital capabilities, and platform development, while also supporting emerging businesses in e-powertrain and mobility solutions.
Announcing the appointment, Parag Satpute, Managing Director & Group CEO, Greaves Cotton Ltd., said the company’s “Greaves.NEXT” strategy is focused on strengthening core operations while building long-term technology and innovation capabilities.
Vinay Pawar brings close to three decades of experience across automotive electronics, industrial automation, connected mobility, embedded systems, and mobility technologies. Before joining Greaves Cotton, he was associated with Spark Minda Group in senior technology and business leadership roles.
Over the course of his career, Vinay Pawar has also worked with companies such as KPIT Technologies, Continental Automotive, Bosch, and ABB, contributing to engineering and mobility programs across India and Europe.
From a commercial vehicle and mobility perspective, the appointment reflects the increasing importance of software integration, connected systems, and electronics-led vehicle development as the industry moves towards cleaner and more intelligent mobility platforms.
Vinay Pawar holds a degree in Instrumentation Engineering, an MBA in Technology Management, and advanced qualifications in AI and machine learning.
