Force Motors has bagged an order to supply Light Strike Vehicles (LSVs) to the Indian Army. Indigenous in build, and designed and developed by Force Motors’ research and development team, the LSVs meet the exacting military requirements. Rugged and reliable, the LSV is powered by a engine and transmission from the Force Motors range, updated for military duty. Following protos that underwent rigorous trials conducted over a period of two years, and in extreme conditions like the scorching
deserts of Rajasthan at about 50 degree Celsius, and the freezing temperatures of the Himalayas at (-) 30 degree Celsius, the Force LSV has been designed to ensure quick ingress and egress. Employing a rugged four-wheel drive system with differential locks on either axle, the LSV can be airlifted and dropped into enemy territory for use as an advance fast strike vehicle too. Equipped with run-flat tyres with a provision to mount a rocket launcher and machine guns, the LSV complements the Traveller and Trax range that are already on duty in many paramilitary organisations in the country.
