The road transport and highways ministry is working on an IT-based plan to make cargo movement across states hassle free claim industry sources. They claim further that all the permissions will be available with a click of the mouse. The plan is said to involve the formation of a robust information, communication and technology system which will enable logistics operators to submit all applications using a single window and get the necessary clearances. A mechanism to enable logistics players to get real time details of traffic condition of different stretches is also said to be a part of the plan. State governments will be consulted, claimed sources, since the success of such a plan is highly dependent on the interest taken by them.
