CASE Construction Equipment made its presence felt at Excon 2k21. Prateek Pardeshi draws attention to the product launches as a fitting tribute to a 180-year-old legacy.

CASE Construction Equipment launched six new Construction Equipment Vehicles (CEVs) at Excon 2k21. Following the inauguration of a new India Technology Center (ITC) in Gurugram, Haryana the CNH Industrial N.V. American brand headquartered in Italy extended the celebrations of its 180-year-old existence. The company, at Excon 2k21, launched the CASE DNA S-shaped boom mounted on the CASE770 NXe backhoe loader. Aimed at offering a better ground reach, it can also be mounted on high-body trucks that offer uninterrupted visibility. The boom has a reach of up to 4.40 maximum digging depth and is an articulated and hydraulic assist type. CASE also introduced the 770 EX Plus backhoe with its USP of two auto-selection modes that are claimed to enhance fuel efficiency by up to six per cent. The CEV, notably, is powered by the Ashok Leyland h4c4 3.84-litre, a 74 hp CEV-IV compliant engine. The 851 FX CP variant includes a four-Wheel Drive (4WD) giving operators the needed boost of traction for tough terrains. The company also showcased a vibratory roller, characterised by its protruding treads and a drum to densify soil, asphalt, or other materials by combining static and dynamic forces to increase the load-bearing capacity of the surface. In the compactor segment, Case unveiled the 1107EX Soil Vibratory Compactor, which includes a 25 mm drum and turbocharger with a pre-cleaner, powered by the Ashok Leyland 3.84-litre CEV-IV engine producing a power of 100 hp. In the excavator segment, Case introduced the CX220C LC-HD Excavator, which features a new seven-inch display for operators looking to closely watch the performance metric like Rear-view camera, engine running hours, hydraulics info, engine temperature, fuel level, headlamps, and wipers, etc. The excavator has a cutting force of about 132 kn arm digging force and 152 kn bucket digging force. The 845C Motor Grader on display is a multipurpose construction machine for flattening surfaces in grading projects. The motor grader is installed with an FPT 6.7-litre CEV-IV engine producing a power of 173 hp.
