Schwing Stetter India, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Schwing Group, and part of the XCMG Group, has entered into a partnership with US-based Gomaco Corporation. The partnership will provide Schwing Stetter India with the sales and service rights for Gomaco’s entire range of concrete paving products across the country, except for the state of Telangana. Targeting US$ 10 million sales in the first year of association, and in-line with the government announcement to build 30 kms of road per day, Schwing Stetter is looking at participating in airport, canal and high speed rail projects apart from roads with the use of Gomaco product line-up. Expressing that the association with Gomaco will provide Schwing Stetter India access to a part of infra market that is showing signs of growing fastest, an industry expert drew attention to government’s ambitious target of increasing the contribution of manufacturing output to 25 per cent of Gross Domestic Product GDP by 2025, from the current 16 per cent.
