Having commenced operations in 2016 around the NCR region, Rapido has launched its services in Delhi heartland, targeting central and south Delhi in the initial phase. The Bangalore-based two-wheeler ride hailing company intends to target the metro commuters and with the odd-even scheme set to make a comeback in Delhi, will be providing free rides to customers.

The start up has already received their latest funding round of series B and had earlier provided free rides in Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad during the last phase of the odd-even rule.

The company claims that it currently has around 10 million subscribers across 90 Indian cities, and intends to ease out last mile connectivity woes for commuters. Sharing his views on this app-based ride hailing platform, Nirmal, Senior Expansion Manager, Rapido, said, “Rapido’s concept is based around providing convenient and high-quality transport facilities for solo commuters, especially those who need to travel far or have to get somewhere quickly.”
