Recent reports suggest that the Adani Group is in talks to establish a partnership with Uber, aiming to introduce electric cars. This collaboration seeks to integrate Uber services into Adani One, a platform launched by the conglomerate in 2022. During a meeting between Gautam Adani, the Chairman of Adani Group, and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi on February 24, discussions hinted at potential future collaborations between the two entities.

Both leaders expressed their appreciation for their dialogue on India’s growth prospects and their shared vision for the region. Khosrowshahi described the meeting with Adani as “absolutely terrific,” highlighting that it occurred during breakfast. He underscored Uber’s dedication to accelerating the transition to electric vehicles in India.

Uber has announced its intention to convert its entire vehicle fleet into EVs by 2040. In alignment with this goal for zero-emission transportation, Uber has launched Uber Green, an EV service, in Delhi.

Simultaneously, the Adani Group has pledged to invest $100 billion across various sectors over the next decade, including initiatives for energy transition. Plans include the development of 10 GW of solar manufacturing capacity and the establishment of a large-scale solar farm to harness solar energy. Additionally, the group is investing in battery swapping and EV charging infrastructure.
