JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., a leading player in India’s tyre industry and a market leader in the radial tyre segment, today inaugurated Phase III of the capacity expansion and modernisation at its Passenger Car Radial (PCR) manufacturing facility in Banmore, Madhya Pradesh.
The expanded facility was inaugurated by Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, in the presence of Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, and Mr. Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, JK Tyre, along with senior leadership from JK Tyre and Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
With the commissioning of Phase III, part of JK Tyre’s multi-phase investment of over ₹1,000 crore, the Banmore plant’s production capacity has increased to 30,000 passenger car radial tyres per day, equivalent to approximately 10.5 million tyres annually. This expansion strengthens JK Tyre’s domestic manufacturing footprint and supports India’s rapidly growing passenger vehicle ecosystem.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., said,

The Banmore facility continues to play a significant role in regional industrial development, generating direct and indirect employment and contributing to the local economy. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, the plant incorporates energy-efficient processes and responsible manufacturing practices aligned with JK Tyre’s environmental and social commitments.
