Montra Electric, the electric mobility brand under the Murugappa Group’s TI Clean Mobility, has expanded its retail footprint in Northeast India with the inauguration of an exclusive electric three-wheeler dealership in Silchar, Assam. The new outlet has been launched in partnership with Sunbird Super Energy Private Limited.
Located on Sonai Road, the dealership will offer Montra Electric’s Super Auto (Passenger) and Super Cargo (Load Carrier) models. Both variants are engineered for enhanced range, improved performance, and lower operating costs for drivers, fleet operators, and last-mile mobility users. The new facility also includes a dedicated service bay, trained technicians, and ready spare parts support to ensure timely after-sales service.
The inauguration was attended by key dignitaries from Assam, including Shri Khalin Uddin Mazumdar (MLA, Katigorah) and Shri Karim Uddin Barbhaya (MLA, Sonai).
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director, TI Clean Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (Montra Electric), said,

The new Silchar dealership is Montra Electric’s 12th outlet in Assam dedicated to electric three-wheelers. The showroom covers 1,200 sq ft, supported by a 900 sq ft service workshop.
Assam is currently one of India’s fastest-growing electric mobility markets, with over 85% of new three-wheeler registrations already electric. The state is projected to become the first in the country to achieve 100% e-3W adoption, driven by rising demand for cost-effective and sustainable last-mile transport.
The addition of the Silchar dealership further strengthens Montra Electric’s expanding retail and service network across India as the company continues to scale its portfolio of intelligent, locally manufactured electric mobility solutions.
