Magenta Power has set up India’s first solar-based charging station for Electric Vehicles (EVs) at Navi Mumbai. Designed to cater to four wheelers, the charging station comprises of chargers that will enable electric car users to charge their cars at any time safely and conveniently. The grid-connected charging station will be powered by solar, which in-turn makes the entire ecosystem fossil fuel free. The right solution for an eco-friendly environment as it reduces the carbon emissions to zero according to Maxson Lewis, CEO, Magenta Power, the solar charging station (DC fast charge) at Navi Mumbai is part of the company’s plan to set up 100 EV charging stations by the end of this year at various locations in Mumbai. Magenta Power is banking on the government’s encouragement to move to Evs.
