MAN Trucks India unveiled the new CLA BSIV bus chassis range in Bengaluru. To make the bus chassis available in two models, a 8.250 (4×2) and 22.300 (6×2) multi-axle, the OEM partnered with three leading bus body builders in a bid to offer different and innovative body designs to customers. The new front mounted CLA BSIV bus chassis models are manufactured at MAN Trucks’ manufacturing plant in Pithampur, near Indore. Designed for intercity coach application, the robust structure is claimed to be built using tried and tested components in the chassis and driveline. Averred Joerg Mommertz, Chairman & Managing Director, MAN Trucks India, “The new BSIV compliant CLA bus chassis is built on the established attributes of MAN brand in India – reliability and efficiency. We have now added the aspects of safety and comfort.” “We are confident that with the value proposition on offer, MAN will create a unique position in the market,” he added. The new chassis is powered by the BSIV compliant 250 hp and 300 hp MAN D-0836 turbo-charged, intercooled common rail engines mated to a six-speed gearbox.
