For the third edition of Force Gurkha Rain Forest Challenge (RFC) India, Force Motors has retained the Force Gurkhas which were part of the earlier edition. Based on the Trax pick-up truck platform, the Gurkhas are particularly adept in negotiating the predator and twilight stages of the event according to company sources. Powering the Gurkha is a Mercedes Benz derived 2.6-litre common rail turbo-diesel engine that develops 140 bhp of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. Fitted with 37-inch Maxxis trepador tyres, and an all-coil spring long-travel suspension, the Gurkha is built specially for off-road terrains. For the Force Gurkha Rain Forest Challenge, the company has roped in Kabir Waraich, a veteran off-roader. Kabir won the top two positions in both the first (2014) and second (2015) edition of the RFC India.
