The new machines meet India’s latest emission standards while adding improvements in power, operator comfort and digital connectivity, writes Sahil Kesari.

Mahindra Construction Equipment (MCE), a division of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has launched the upgraded CEV-V compliant EarthMaster SX Backhoe Loader and RoadMaster G100 Motor Grader. “The introduction of the CEV-V range reflects our commitment to sustainability, local manufacturing and customer value,” said Dr Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Truck and Bus & Construction Equipment, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
EarthMaster SX Upgrades
The new EarthMaster SX Backhoe Loader continues with a 74 hp engine but now delivers higher torque, giving better performance in demanding site conditions in the CEV-V compliant guise. A major update is the onboard iMAXX telematics suite. Fleet owners can now track fuel consumption, machine health and maintenance needs in real time, a clear step up from the limited monitoring of earlier CEV-IV models. The operator cabin has been redesigned to be more spacious and ergonomic. Better visibility, improved seating and controls are intended to reduce fatigue during long operating hours, directly supporting productivity and safety.
Mahindra is backing the EarthMaster SX with unique commitments: Highest productivity per litre guarantee, highest fuel efficiency guarantee in STD mode, and a 48-hour uptime service promise claimed to ensure that the machine is restored to work within two days or the customer receives compensation.
RoadMaster G100 Upgrades
In the motor grader range, Mahindra’s earlier G90 and G80 models were powered by 74 hp engines. The new RoadMaster G100 moves to a 102 hp engine producing 440 Nm of torque, offering higher output for highway and heavy-duty grading projects. The increase in power and torque supports faster cycle times and consistent performance under load, especially in state and national highway applications. The G100 extends Mahindra’s grader portfolio, providing contractors with a stronger option for large-scale road works while smaller models remain available for lighter duties.

Service and Support Network
Both machines are supported by Mahindra’s expanding after-sales network, covering 115 touch points across India. This includes 50 plus 3S dealerships and 15 Saathi plus authorised service and parts centres, backed by a spares network and 50+ mobile service vans and workshops. The EarthMaster SX and RoadMaster G100 also come with a two-year / 4,000-hour warranty, reducing early ownership risks for contractors. These service commitments are paired with Mahindra’s uptime and fuel-efficiency guarantees, ensuring that the new CEV-V range delivers measurable value in use.

Built for Indian Requirements
Manufactured at Mahindra’s Chakan plant near Pune, the EarthMaster and RoadMaster reflect the company’s ‘Made in India’ focus. The upgrades align with local requirements by combining ruggedness, fuel efficiency and digital monitoring. With over 15,000 machines already deployed across the country, Mahindra has established a strong position in the construction equipment segment, particularly in motor graders. The CEV-V upgrade of its flagship backhoe loader and high-powered grader strengthens that position, giving contractors access to cleaner, more capable machines backed by a growing support ecosystem.
