●Two variants: 50% and 90% bio-based content

Developed at CEAT’s Halol R&D facility

Designed to deliver sustainable mobility without compromising safety or durability

CEAT, one of India’s leading tyre manufacturers, has launched SecuraDrive CIRCL, the country’s first road-ready tyre with up to 90% sustainable (bio based) materials. This development marks a major advancement in the company’s sustainability roadmap, with direct implications for commercial and passenger mobility solution alike.while CIRCL has been positioned for passenger cars, the technologies and materials developed here represent a step change for the broader tyre ecosystem, especially for commercial fleets and logistics operators seeking lower-carbon, high-performance solutions.

Developed at CEAT’s global R&D hub in Halol, CIRCL is offered in 50% and 90% sustainable content variants the highest sustainable content tyres to undergo full-scale road testing in India.

Key Technological Breakthroughs:

Unified Bipolaymer Inner Liner- lower manufacturing emissions and enhances durability, critical for long-haul applications.

Glycerol- Based Accelerator- replaces Petroleum– derived chemicals, ensuring sustainability in even the smallest tyre components.

Anti-Static Silica Conductive Solution– eliminates carbon black white retaining essential electrical conductivity and safety.

According to Arnab Banerjee, MD&CEO, CEAT Ltd:

“SecuraDrive CIRCL is a breakthrough that demonstrates how India can set new benchmarks in sustainable mobility. The technology behind CIRCL is not limited to passenger cars ; it lays the foundation for sustainable tyre in the commercial vehicle segment, where reducing emissions and operational costs is critical.”

Lakshmi Narayanan B, Chief Marketing Officer, CEAT Ltd, added:

“Fleet owners and operators are increasingly looking for product that align with sustainability goals without sacrificing durability or safety. The innovations in CIRCL will help CEAT bring those benefits to the commercial vehicle segment as well.”

By proving that premium performance and sustainability can co-exist has opened the door for sustainable tyre solutions that will eventually scale to buses, trucks and heavy-duty applications, supporting the transition to greener commercial mobility.

CIRCL will be available at CEAT’S premium outlest and dealerships from September 2025,priced at Rs12,999 for the 90% sustainable variant and Rs 8,999 for the 50% variant.
