Volvo Trucks India, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd.(VECV), a
joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, proudly showcased its Volvo FM 4X2 Electric
Highway Tractor Truck at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 in Delhi. This is in line with Volvo Group
and VECV’s commitment to carbon neutrality by offering various alternate fuel solutions to customers.
“As one of the largest producers of trucks in the world, Volvo Trucks has a range of alternate fuel
solutions. Last year we successfully demonstrated LNG trucks in India and are ready for commercial
sales of these LNG -powered trucks. We are now in advanced trials in real-world Indian conditions for
our Electric trucks in express cargo movement. Upon successful completion, we will be offering these to
our customers. While our clean diesel and LNG-powered trucks will be used for longer range
applications, the Volvo FM 4X2 Electric Highway Tractor will serve shorter runs and regional haul.” said
Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd.
Globally, Volvo has delivered over 5000 medium and heavy-duty Electric trucks in various applications.
In India, Volvo will initially offer the versatile FM 4×2 electric tractor for Express logistics, Container

300 km depending on the route and load. The alternate fuel solutions from Volvo trucks also feature
cutting edge ADAS features like Forward collision warning with Emergency braking, driver alert system,

With the introduction of Electric trucks, Volvo will become the only truck brand supplying and
