DTDC rides on growth wave post COVID disruptions; all set to expand major hubs across states with a special focus on healthcare
After two years of upheaval, the logistics sector is riding a growth wave as COVID-19 fades, with DTDC, the world’s largest logistics service, leading the way with a special focus on healthcare. The national player is stepping up their logistics game by updating their infrastructure and launching many warehouses in preparation for positive growth and expansion. Following the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, the demand for medicines and vaccines delivered to one’s door has skyrocketed. To satisfy this demand and provide people with timely treatments that meet their life-saving medical needs, DTDC is currently on a mission to reach every major city and the most distant villages in the country.
DTDC has began implementing its project in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. They have constructed a new warehouse with cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art facilities. The logistics firm is partnering with e-commerce giants to enable enhanced deliveries across the state’s urban and rural divisions. “We are building major logistic hubs across the country and expanding for greater business growth and delivering value to customers across the length and breadth of the country to further enhance our services and streamline operations to better serve our customers,” says Subhasish Chakraborty, Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of DTDC. “We are happy the way people of the country have supported us in the last 32 years. We started from Karnataka but are all over India today. With the trio element of service, support and advanced infrastructure, we are sure to take care of everyone’s needs in the coming future. Moreover, we also run a foundation called SSCF (Shri Subhasish Chakraborty Foundation), where orphanages and old aged are provided with shelter, education and other essential facilities, and we are confident enough to take up more such work on the social side as we multifold progress,” added Chakraborty.
With the implementation having begun in Guntur and Andhra Pradesh, the DTDC is planning to expand its trails with upgraded infrastructure and facilities in the other states as well. DTDC uses new shipping tools, modern API and plug-in stacks to provide full service to retail clients, SMEs, e-retailers, and large organisations. DTDC has responded to changing times by developing ground-breaking solutions in several parts of the supply chain business throughout the years. The corporation introduced the MyDTDC app in 2020, offering individuals numerous subsidised services through its Covid Relief Programme (CRP). It has also introduced Smile Code delivery, which is a zero-contact Covid-safe, real-time delivery with two-factor authentication.
