JCB has rolled out the 100,000th engine from its Ballabgarh plant. It took five years for the company to produce these many engines of the ecoMax series. Over the years, the ecoMax series has earned a name for fuel efficiency, reliability and productivity. Three engines, naturally aspirated, turbocharged and electronically governed, are produced under the ecoMax series, and have a power range of between 56kW and 121kW. While the four-cylinder engines amount to a good chunk, six-cylinder engines are supplied for larger applications. Speaking at the occasion, Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, JCB India, expressed gratitude towards the workforce. He appreciated them for having helped to achieve this milestone. Sondhi also emphasised upon JCB maintaining superior quality standards, which also reflect through the export of Indian-made engines globally.
