Over the next 12 to 18 months, the business plans to deploy 100,000 electric two-wheelers (E2Ws). This historic purchase expands on Zypp Electric’s successful installation of over 10,000 EVs using Indofast Energy’s battery swapping infrastructure. This extension will guarantee smooth operations and hasten the widespread adoption of EVs in the target cities thanks to Indofast Energy’s vast network.

This extensive deployment is a step towards Zypp Electric’s ambitious goal of completely electrifying the area by 2028. The company will increase fivefold with the help of the expanded fleet, going from 20,000 to 100,000 vehicles in the next 12 to 18 months and then another 500,000 vehicles in the next 36 to 48 months. By encouraging broad EV adoption, this program would guarantee smooth and sustainable last-mile logistics in India. 

In order to increase efficiency for delivery partners and businesses, the new fleet of 100,000 E2Ws will be placed throughout India’s top eight cities, which include Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, and Jaipur. Delivery partners and EV users can stay on the go thanks to its quick 60-second battery switch, which avoids lengthy charging wait times. Within the next three years, Indofast Energy hopes to expand to 10,000 battery-swapping stations in more than 50 cities, with the goal of serving over a million EV users.
