Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to undertake research and development in future automotive technologies. The initiative, said Jan-Ove Östensen, VP – Advanced Technology & Research, Volvo Group, will demonstrate his group’s commitment to continually work with academic institutions to innovate, and to strengthen industry-academia collaboration globally. Volvo Group and IISc will collaborate on long-term research in select technological areas. Volvo Group’s endeavour to collaborate with IISc is part of its strategy to collaborate with academic institutions. The Group has collaborated with Penn State University, US; with INSA, France; Chalmers University of Technology; Mälardalen University, and with the University of Skövde, Sweden.
