VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has crossed the milestone of 100,000 vehicle sales in FY 2025-26, marking its highest-ever annual performance. The achievement reflects the realization of a key vision set at the inception of the Volvo-Eicher partnership in 2008 and underscores the company’s continued growth momentum in India’s commercial vehicle industry.

VECV’s performance was driven by strong demand across segments. Light and Medium Duty (LMD) trucks contributed 47,789 units (46.1%), while Heavy Duty (HD) trucks accounted for 26,867 units (25.9%). The bus segment added 19,363 units (18.7%), reflecting balanced growth across the portfolio. This milestone has been supported by VECV’s application-focused product range, combined with a consistent emphasis on fuel efficiency, uptime, and customer-centric solutions.
Since its formation, the joint venture has combined Volvo Group’s global technological expertise with Eicher Motors’ deep understanding of Indian market dynamics. This partnership has enabled VECV to establish a strong position in the commercial vehicle industry while continuously working towards modernising transportation through sustainable, future-ready solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall fleet performance.
Commenting on the milestone, B. Srinivas, Managing Director & CEO, VECV, said, “Crossing the milestone of 1,00,000 vehicles in a year is a significant achievement for VECV and reflects the trust our customers have placed in our products and solutions. This milestone also fulfils a key part of the original vision set at the inception of the Volvo-Eicher joint venture, underscoring the strength and long-term strategic direction of our partnership. As we move forward, we remain committed to driving the next phase of growth through innovation, sustainability, and deeper customer engagement.”
