Uno Minda Group has formed a 50:50 joint venture with Taiwan-based Tung Thih Electronic Co. Ltd. to design, develop and manufacture Driving Assistance Products & Systems (DAPS). The joint venture – Minda TTE DAPS Private Limited, will supply DAPS, including rear parking aid systems, auto parking aid systems, cameras, around view monitor systems, etc., to Indian automotive OEMs. The joint venture company will also venture into advanced technology products like lane departure warning systems. Aiming at foraying deeper into the Indian automotive electronic market, the joint venture company will set up a greenfield manufacturing site in the NCR region.
