JK Tyre and Industries has announced the appointment of Rajiv Prasad as the president of the India operations. Prasad brings with him three decades of experience in managing diverse teams across geographies. His appointment comes at a time when the tyre industry has been going through a lull. For the last ten quarters, the tyre industry has been facing a downturn. The first half of FY2017-18 was weak, with progress in the second half especially the third quarter of FY2017-18. A market leader in Truck and Bus Radial (TBR) tyres in India, it has over 35 Truck wheels that provide complete solutions to commercial vehicle owners and operators.
