The CSR initiative targets to train over 400 youths to meet the demand for sales staff in the automotive and AG sectors
New Holland, a brand under CNH, has initiated the “Saksham” project to train and empower underprivileged rural youths. This initiative aligns with the National Skill Development Mission and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In collaboration with SEEDS – Social Empowerment & Economic Development Society, the project aims to develop a skilled and certified workforce of automotive sales professionals for the AG and automotive industries. Eligible candidates, aged 18 and above with a minimum education level of 12th grade, can apply for the program in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra.
Sandeep Gupta, Sales Director of the Agriculture Segment at CNH India, expressed, “Our Project Saksham is dedicated to equipping rural youths with essential skills for the modern world. This initiative aims to provide them with the necessary skills for potential employment opportunities, thereby positively impacting the economy.”
The training covers various aspects of Automotive Sales Assistant roles, including sales lead management, effective communication, teamwork, customer query resolution, and after-sales activities. The program commenced with a Boot Camp for theoretical, product, and soft skill training in Samalkha, Haryana, from 6th to 8th February 2024, followed by practical training at dealerships spanning over 3 months.
New Holland offers innovative agricultural solutions, including a diverse range of tractors, combine harvesters, and agricultural implements, enhancing efficiency and productivity across various applications such as tillage, plantation, harvesting, and haulage.
