Arriving in an environment that is challenging, the two Boss variants have also been treated to ergonomic upgrades and safety upgrades. Available with two cabin options, the trucks are powered by a 150 hp, 3839 cc H-series diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission (with cable shift). The BSVI engine promises seven-per cent higher fuel efficiency. Equipped with air brakes, the ICV range features parabolic leaf springs and telescopic shock absorbers at the front. At the rear, the vehicle features semi-elliptical leaf springs and telescopic shock absorbers. Available with a 200 litres fuel tank (one variant is known to come with a 105-litre fuel tank), the BSVI Boss has a grade-ability of about 18 per cent. With its top speed limited to 80 kmph, the ICV is backed by digital solutions like i-Alert and remote diagnostics. Promising up to five-per cent better tyre life and up to 30 per cent longer service interval, the BSVI Boss LE and LX have their cabins of the ‘suspended’ type for better ride quality and comfort. Featuring a power steering, which is adjustable for tilt and telescopic reach, the ICV range comes with a four-way adjustable driver’s seat. Promising up to five-per cent lower maintenance cost, the BSVI ICV range also features air-conditioning.
