Mahindra, through its newly formed Powertrain division called Powerol, has launched a range of 125kVA Diesel Generators (DG). Designed at the Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai, the new range of diesel generators flaunt a unique engineering canopy design and are compact in dimensions. Helping to reduce carbon footprint, the gensets, 20 per cent more compact in size than the competitive offerings, are fitted with a fluted silencer (a patented technology) that reduces exhaust noise. There is also a reduction of 30 per cent in the overall weight of the canopy without compromising on its toughness and rigidity. In terms of support, the company is offering a service initiative called Super Shield Plan, which promises the operator zero maintenance cost, zero repair charges, zero service charges and zero spares replacement costs for five years. This offer, according to sources in the know of the development, is applicable on DG sets for the range of 82.5 kVA to 200 kVA. Mahindra Powerol is part of the newly formed Mahindra Powertrain Division, under Mahindra Group’s Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors (AFS).
