In an year of its launch, the Mahindra Jeeto has gathered a 20 per cent market share. Based on a modular platform with eight variants, the Small Commercial vehicle (SCV), it has been instrumental in endorsing the company’s participation in the respective market segment. Available with an exchange offer of up to Rs.20,000, the sub one-tonne mini-truck is powered by a single-cylinder mDura 625cc engine placed at the rear with the drive going to the rear wheels via a four-speed gearbox. Supported by a warranty of two years or 40,000 km, whichever is earlier, the Jeeto is claimed to offer 30 per cent higher earning potential. According to Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra, the Jeeto has been a game-changer in its category, and has helped increase the market share in less than two-tonne LCV segment. The Jeeto was judged the CV of the year by the 2016 Apollo-CV Awards jury.
