Mahindra’s Truck and Bus business has announced the twelfth edition of its Saarthi Abhiyaan scholarship programme, extending financial support to the daughters of truck drivers across India. The initiative, which began in twenty fourteen, has so far awarded over eleven thousand scholarships, with cumulative disbursements exceeding rupees eleven crore.
Under the latest edition, Mahindra will award one thousand new scholarships, each valued at rupees ten thousand, to eligible applicants who have passed the tenth standard and are pursuing further education. The programme is open to all truck drivers’ daughters, irrespective of whether their fathers own or drive a Mahindra vehicle or any other brand.
The Saarthi Abhiyaan initiative is designed to recognise the role of truck drivers in supporting their daughters’ education and to encourage higher participation of women in formal education pathways. Mahindra was among the first commercial vehicle manufacturers in India to introduce a structured scholarship programme focused specifically on the families of truck drivers.

Since its launch, the programme has reached beneficiaries across multiple regions through an on-ground outreach process conducted at more than seventy-five transport hubs nationwide. The selection process is described as transparent and independently administered.
Commenting on the programme, Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks, Buses and Construction Equipment and Member of the Mahindra Group Executive Board, said the initiative is aimed at enabling long-term social impact by supporting education and opportunity creation for young women.
Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Trucks, Buses and Construction Equipment, Mahindra Group, added that the company’s continued engagement through Saarthi Abhiyaan reflects a sustained commitment to social equity and community development.
The selected scholarship recipients will receive the amount through direct bank transfer, along with a certificate of recognition. Felicitation events for the current cohort are scheduled to be held between February and March twenty twenty-six at select locations across the country.
Mahindra’s Truck and Bus business is part of the Mahindra Group’s Automotive and Farm sector and offers a full range of commercial vehicles designed to reduce total cost of ownership and improve operational reliability for customers across India.
