Conceptualized, designed and developed entirely in India, the Medical Mobile Unit aligns with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s flagship health initiative – PM Jan Aarogya Yojna (PM-JAY) aimed at improving healthcare access in rural and semi-rural areas. Mobile Medical Units are part of the National Health Mission (NHM) and are designed to provide healthcare to underserved, rural, and vulnerable sections of our society. It will act like a ‘Hospital on Wheels’ directly reaching to the people’s doors.
JBM Electric Vehicles, a leading player in e-mobility solutions showcased India’s first state-of-the-art Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) to key dignitaries including J.P. Nadda, Minister of Health & Family Welfare; Manohar Lal, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs. Dr. S.K. Sarin, Director, Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences, S.K. Arya, Chairman, JBM Group and Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman, JBM Group were also present on the occasion.
The MMU is a fully equipped mobile healthcare facility that will provide essential medical services such as primary care, diagnostics, and emergency aid to people in remote areas.
With a focus on delivering last-mile healthcare, MMUs are equipped with staff, medicines, advanced medical equipment, teleconsultation capabilities and other logistics to provide a range of services and medical equipment, including:
