MSL (Mobility Solutions Limited), a subsidiary of the JCBL Group, has won an Rs.100 crore contract with Indian Railways (IR) to deliver and install several critical components for the Vande Bharat Express. The order is now being delivered and fulfilled by the company. This agreement solidifies MSL’s position as a leading manufacturer and supplier of rail components to Indian railways, building on their years of strong collaboration and friendship. MSL is also well-known for producing and supplying Fibre-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) and Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) or fibreglass.

As part of the agreement, MSL would supply 8 pieces of the front mask or nose cone worth around Rs. 2.4 crores, 16 rakes of interior panelling with toilets worth around Rs. 76.58 crores, and 16 coaches per rake. The entire scope of work includes but is not limited to the development, supply, and installation of FRP interior panels for the roof, side, walls, and partitions, toilet with doors, accessories, roller blinds, and other critical equipment. This MSL and Indian railway partnership primarily aims to elevate and consolidate the structural integrity and build quality of the premium Vande Bharat Express.
The MSL management has stated that their production units are moving full steam ahead, with the delivery set to be completed within the current financial year at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. MSL’s extensive portfolio of high-quality and durable products and its commitment to constant technological innovation would play a substantial role in this collaboration. This agreement could also multiply the company’s scope in the nation’s mobility sector.
