EKA Mobility, in consortium with GreenCell Mobility, has been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) for the supply and deployment of 915 electric buses in Hyderabad.

The project will be executed under the Government of India’s CESL-led PM E-DRIVE scheme (Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement), aimed at accelerating the adoption of electric mobility across the country.

The order includes 100 nine-metre and 815 twelve-metre standard-floor non-AC electric buses, designed to meet diverse urban transit needs. These zero-emission buses are engineered to deliver efficient, reliable, and passenger-friendly operations for city transport systems.

This LOA follows earlier awards secured by EKA Mobility under CESL’s PM E-Bus Seva initiative, covering deployments across Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry, and Meghalaya.

Commenting on the development, Rohit Srivastava, Business Head & Chief Growth Officer, EKA Mobility, said, “Securing this LOA for 915 electric buses is a strong endorsement of our technology and execution capabilities. We are proud to contribute to Hyderabad’s transition toward cleaner, smarter urban transport in alignment with the Government of India’s PM E-DRIVE vision.”

The PM E-DRIVE scheme is a flagship Government of India initiative focused on accelerating EV adoption, strengthening domestic manufacturing, and reducing urban pollution.
