Volvo Eicher Commercial vehicles has introduced the Pro 6037 with an innovative mileage booster system and advanced telematics. Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 fair held at Delhi in February 2016, the Pro 6037, a 10×4 rigid truck, is capable of a payload carrying capacity of 37-tonnes. Powering the truck is a VEDX5, 5-litre, four-cylinder common-rail diesel engine capable of generating 210 hp of power and 825 Nm of torque. Apart from featuring a nine-speed transmission, the Pro 6037 comes with a fully suspended sleeper cabin. Aimed at long haul applications such as market loads, bulk carriers and frozen good carriers, the Pro 6037 also features a cruise control mechanism. When running on partial load or empty, the truck’s pusher lift axle and mileage booster system, which is a combination of dual torque and V-tronic fan, promise superior fuel efficiency. The modular ‘Domex’ high tensile strength chassis is claimed to offer higher rigidity and strength. The load space the Pro 6037 offers is 28 ft x 30 ft.
