Claes Erixon has been appointed executive vice president and head of Research and Development (R&D) effective May 01, 2016, at Scania. He will report to Henrik Henriksson, President and CEO. Claes Erixon is currently heading vehicle definition and product quality at Scania. He joined Scania in 1994 as a trainee. A mechanical engineer, Erixon has held various managerial positions within R&D, and production and logistics, in Sweden and Brazil. He succeeds Harald Ludanek, who has been appointed member of the management board and head of technical development at Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge.
