●Marks India’s largest bulk order and first large-scale deployment of electric light commercial reefer trucks
●Investment of ₹100 crore; 100 trucks already deployed
●Introduction of India’s first Electric Light Commercial Reefer Fleet for sustainable cold chain solutions nationwide
●Targets ₹50 crore ARR in Year 1 and ₹250 crore ARR in five years

Celcius Logistics, India’s leading tech-enabled cold chain solutions provider, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Switch Mobility, the electric vehicle arm of Ashok Leyland, to deploy 350 electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV) reefer trucks across the country. This collaboration represents India’s largest EV reefer fleet deployment, advancing the electrification of cold logistics at scale.
Backed by an investment of ₹100 crore, the initiative will support the purchase of vehicles and development of essential infrastructure including parking bays, charging stations, and driver training programs. Celcius has already deployed 100 trucks and will roll out the remaining 250 units by the end of FY26.

“This MoU is a significant leap for India’s cold logistics industry,” said Swarup Bose, Founder & CEO, Celcius Logistics. “With Celcius Green, we’re making cold chain logistics cleaner, smarter, and future-ready. This is India’s largest EV reefer fleet deployment and a critical step in transforming the cold chain sector through sustainable, energy-efficient solutions.”
Launch of ‘Celcius Green’ Fully Electric Refrigerated Fleet
The partnership also marks the launch of Celcius Green, a dedicated vertical under Celcius Logistics. With an initial investment of ₹50 crore, Celcius Green will build India’s first zero-emission cold logistics network leveraging electric mobility and advanced data-driven systems.
The 3.5-ton electric reefer trucks, engineered by Switch Mobility, ensure consistent temperature control from –25°C to +25°C for transporting sensitive goods including dairy, pharmaceuticals, fresh produce, seafood, and frozen foods. With extended 140 km range and EV-ready infrastructure, these vehicles are designed for both urban and peri-urban deliveries.
“Our partnership with Celcius Logistics marks a key milestone in advancing electric mobility within the cold chain segment one of the most demanding areas of logistics,” said Ganesh Mani, CEO, Switch Mobility. “Together, we’re setting a new benchmark for sustainable, reliable, and cost-efficient temperature-controlled transport in India.”
Scaling Nationwide Operations
Celcius will initiate operations in New Delhi, followed by Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The company aims to achieve ₹50 crore in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in the first year and ₹250 crore ARR within five years as operations expand. An additional investment of ₹100–150 crore is planned to scale its EV reefer fleet, build EV-ready cold storage hubs, and strengthen charging infrastructure along key logistics corridors.
The Celcius Green fleet will feature precision temperature control, GPS-based live tracking, and advanced humidity and temperature sensors. With predictive maintenance and end-to-end visibility, the system guarantees zero downtime, operational transparency, and enhanced traceability throughout the cold chain.
