Ashok Leyland has commenced delivery of its AVTR 55T Electric, BOSS 19T Electric, and BOSS 14T Electric trucks to Billion Electric Mobility, part of the BillionE Group. This marks the beginning of a large order of 180 electric vehicles, including the AVTR 55T Electric Tractor and BOSS Electric Trucks.

During the flag-off event, Shenu Agarwal, MD & CEO of Ashok Leyland, said, “Ashok Leyland is proud of its partnership with BillionE Group as we commence deliveries of our AVTR 55T Electric Tractor and BOSS ICV Electric trucks. Both platforms come with advanced and premium features, making them superior in performance and total cost of ownership (TCO).”

The BOSS Electric is India’s first electric truck in the ICV range, while the AVTR 55T Electric is the country’s first 4×2 electric tractor from a domestic manufacturer.

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO of BillionE, added, “As we build our energy transition platform, BillionE, we embark on a journey towards a cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable tomorrow. We thank Ashok Leyland for delivering these technologically advanced electric vehicles.”

The trucks feature Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety and offer dual-gun charging using the CCS2 standard, ensuring faster recharging. The battery packs, protected with IP67 standards, provide resistance against water and dust, enhancing the vehicles’ performance across different conditions.

This delivery signifies a pivotal step in Ashok Leyland’s drive to lead India’s green mobility movement and reduce the carbon footprint of commercial transportation.
