Arvind Poddar, Chairman and Managing Director of BKT has been officially announced as this year’s honoree for the TIA Hall of Fame Award. Roy Littlefield, the Executive Vice President of the Tire Industry Associations (TIA) officially announced the names of the honorees for the 2018 Hall of Fame Award. Arvind Poddar, one of the leading Off-Highway tyre manufacturers headquartered in India, will be officially inducted into the association’s Hall of Fame at the Tyre Industry Honors Awards Ceremony at the event scheduled to take place at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, at Las Vegas on October 29, a day prior to the opening of the 2018 SEMA show.

“I cannot but consider the announcement of this prestigious, I dare to say the most prestigious award in the tyre industry as a great honour that fills me with pride from both a personal and professional point of view,” averred Poddar. The TIA Hall of Fame dates back to the year 1985, in which the first celebrities of the tyre industry were inducted. The TIA Hall of Fame aims at honouring and preserving the names of outstanding personalities, whose likewise outstanding accomplishments have brought fame to the tyre, rubber, and transportation industries.
