Apollo Tyres Ltd has once again secured a Silver Award in the EcoVadis Sustainability Excellence ratings. This marks the third consecutive year that Apollo Tyres has achieved this recognition, with its score improving from 56 to 70 over the last three years.

This esteemed award places Apollo Tyres Ltd in the top 5% of companies globally in the category of ‘manufacture of rubber tyres and tubes, retreading and rebuilding of rubber tyres.’

In FY24, Apollo Tyres’ overall performance score rose to the 92nd percentile, up from the 82nd percentile the previous year. The company’s Labour and Human Rights ranking improved by 20 points, and its Sustainable Procurement ranking increased by 10 points, contributing significantly to the overall score. Scores in the Environment and Ethics categories remained consistent with the previous year.

These improvements are attributed to Apollo Tyres’ efforts in strengthening suppliers’ ESG assessments, providing livelihood opportunities to local communities—especially women—and enhancing Human Rights awareness through employee training. Additionally, the company has shown advanced management systems in its sustainability commitments.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluating companies on four key pillars: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Companies in the top 1% receive a platinum ranking, those in the top 5% receive gold, the top 15% receive silver, and the top 35% receive bronze.
