Scania India showcased end-to-end mobility solutions at the Excon 2k21. Prateek Pardeshi draws attention to the lineup as its commitment to India in a decade-old journey.

Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. (Scania India) showcased an array of solutions in a bid to reiterate its commitment to India. To drive home the point, the company pulled out all stops at Excon 2k21. It showcased its top-of-the-line tip truck G-500 XT for the mining segment. Built for tough terrains, the 8×4 workhorse was displayed alongside a suite of aftermarket solutions. The latter included genuine spare parts and engine lubricants, a service exchange engine and an industrial engine. Johan Schlyter, Managing Director, Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. in a company release stated, “It is a great opportunity for us to showcase our G-500 tipper and industrial engine which is a strong testament and commitment to the Indian market. With the exponential growth that the mining and construction business has had in the past few years, we are set to be a part of this evolution with our holistic solutions and products that cater to our customers and their businesses.”

The G-series boasts a modern design to offer the best of utility and ergonomics in a safe build. The G-series cabin showcased, featured a low roof design. The design aids in the operator benefiting from a maximum load length and or payload carrying capacity. The G-500 XT was fitted with an XMOR mining tipper body with a tipping angle of ~49 degrees and a load tray with a volume of 22 cu.m. At the heart, the flagship G-500 XT is powered by a BSVI 12.7-litre inline six-cylinder engine rated for peak power delivery of 500 hp and a peak rated torque of 2500 Nm at 1000-1300 rpm. The engine is mated to a 14-speed range-splitter manual synchromesh transmission unit (14+2R). The genuine spare parts and engine lubricants display covered genuine AdBlue (DEF) prescribed for its engines. Jointly participating with its long-standing partner in Larsen & Toubro, the latter has been an exclusive distributor of the company since 2007 for its supply to the construction and mining segments. To establish itself as a one-stop shop, Scania India also drew attention to driver coaching, fleet management service, and power solutions in the experience zone.
