The International Road Federation (IRF), a Geneva-based global body working for safer roads, will soon impart training on life-saving techniques to drivers of commercial vehicles. The objective of this training is to provide enhanced first aid and trauma care to accident victims. Speaking about the development, KK Kapila, Chairman, IRF, said that the drivers of commercial vehicles are prone to accidents. With appropriate training, they would be able to take care of the accident victims before medical aid and an ambulance arrives.
