Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Veero CNG, further expanding its footprint in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment. Priced at ₹ 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.4 XXL SD V2 CNG variant and ₹ 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.4 XXL SD V4 (A) CNG, the Veero CNG offers a compelling mix of efficiency, power, and practicality for businesses and transporters. First showcased in September 2024, the Veero CNG is now available for purchase, reinforcing Mahindra’s commitment to sustainable and cost-effective commercial mobility solutions.
One of the standout features of the Veero CNG is its best-in-class mileage of 19.2 km/kg, making it a cost-effective choice for fleet operators and small business owners. The 150-litre CNG tank delivers an impressive pure CNG range of 480 km, minimizing refueling stops and maximizing uptime. Additionally, a 4.5-litre petrol backup tank extends the total range beyond 500 km, ensuring reliability for both intracity and intercity logistics. The Veero CNG is built on Mahindra’s Urban Prosper Platform (UPP) and is designed to enhance fuel efficiency, payload capacity, safety, and overall driving experience.
Performance-wise, the Veero CNG is equipped with a Turbo CNG engine that produces 67 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth acceleration and efficient load-carrying capabilities. The vehicle boasts a 1.4-ton payload capacity and a 3035 mm cargo bed, making it versatile for diverse commercial applications, from e-commerce deliveries to heavy-duty transportation. The combination of power and payload capacity ensures businesses can transport goods efficiently while maintaining profitability.
Mahindra has also prioritized safety and driver comfort in the Veero CNG. The vehicle is equipped with a driver-side airbag, AIS096 crash safety compliance, high-strength steel construction, and a False Start Avoidance System, reinforcing its commitment to road safety. Enhanced driver visibility and a well-thought-out cabin layout further contribute to a secure driving experience. Inside, the Veero CNG offers a comfortable and ergonomic cabin with an air conditioner, a reclining driver’s seat, and a first-in-segment TFT digital instrument cluster. The spacious cabin comfortably accommodates the driver plus two passengers, ensuring a fatigue-free journey even on long hauls.
In addition to its performance and comfort features, the Veero CNG ensures low cost of ownership with its 20,000 km service interval, reducing downtime and maintenance costs for businesses.
