Uber has launched a new pilot project that offers shuttle bus services for corporates and office-goers over the Atal Setu (MTHL bridge). This service is currently available from Nerul to SoBo and is being offered after the MSRTC and BEST. The first few lucky riders can enjoy a free ride, while others may have to pay Rs 170 per ticket. The service is currently being tested on a trial basis. Passengers can book their seats online using the Uber app which displays the schedule of the AC luxury bus that departs Nerul at 7:16 am and arrives at Cuffe Parade at 8:34 am.

The Chalo bus, which offers premium services, has been introduced by Minister Kesarkar to link Mumbai’s WTC and Belapur’s Konkan Bhavan over Atal Setu. The fares are set from Rs 50-225, and passengers can book their seats online using the app. Standees are not allowed on this bus, and the route spans CSMT, Eastern Freeway, Ulwe Node Kille Gaothan.

BEST plans to introduce a new Chalo bus route from Cuffe Parade to CBD Belapur in Navi Mumbai and operate it on the Atal Setu. BMC officials are reviewing the proposal for introducing buses on the coastal road, and the roadmap and timeline is pending.
