Tata Global Techfest is a technical skill assessment program for Tata Motors technicians where Shell and Tata Motors gauge the technical competency of the technicians contesting from across the world. The winner Senthil Kumar, ABT Industries, Erode said, “In India, there are very few platforms that look at delivering quality skill led education to the technicians and I feel fortunate to have been a part of the Tata Techfest.” The 2015 edition saw 7500 technicians from across 24 countries including India, Australia, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Indonesia participate. The six stage program module began at the workshop level and culminated at the international level. Ten technicians from India and 15 from abroad made it to the grand finale, out of which the top five winners won cash prises amounting to USD 6500.
