In case of the feature ‘Dial an Uber’, users can access Uber’s services in select cities without requiring the app., and by using a mobile website. While using the ‘Request a Ride for others’ feature, existing Uber customers will be able to book for family and friends. Users in case of the latter are required to set a pin before they can book a cab. These users have the option of either selecting a contact from their phone book or manually entering a phone number.
