TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) has procured 50 new Non-AC mini buses from Tata Motors. The buses, called ‘Mini Pallevelugu’, are based on the Tata Ultra LPO mini bus design. With the passenger door ahead of the front axle, the buses, engineered for city-bus operations, are powered by a new 3-litre, BSIV emission compliant engine that produces 140 hp. To provide last mile connectivity for commuters living in the distant suburbs, the buses have a capacity to ferry 40 passengers each. The buses were handed over to the TSRTC officials in the presence of Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, and transport minister P. Mahender Reddy.
