Maruti Suzuki Unveils Super Carry In Ahmedabad

Passenger vehicle maker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, launched its first Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Super Carry, in Gujrat. According to RS Kalsi, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) of Maruti Suzuki, with the Super Carry, the company hopes to revolutionise the LCV segment. “Maruti Suzuki has changed the way India drives. Similarly with the Super Carry also we will bring in a revolution in the LCV segment,” he averred. CV Raman, Executive Director (Engineering) of Maruti Suzuki drew attention to Super Carry being a result of extensive research of the Light Commercial Vehicle market. “It addresses the need for power, stability, ride and handling, apart from fuel efficiency,” claimed Raman. To attain driver comfort, a spacious cabin is on offer in the Super Carry. Seats are flat in nature. A thick glass fibre heat shield offers enhanced heat insulation in the cabin. Equipped with a 793 cc turbocharged diesel engine, Super Carry is said to offer a mileage of 22.07 kilometre per litre. The engine is claimed to deliver a torque of 75 Nm at 2000 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.To facilitate effective braking based on the load condition, a Load Sensing Proportional Valve type (LSPV) system is fitted. At the front are disc-brakes. A 3.25 square metre loading deck offers a superior payload carrying capacity of 740 kilogram. Super Carry is available at a price of Rs.4,03,000 (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad). The company future plans include reaching out to new customers through 50 new showrooms across five other states.
