Automotive lighting systems tier supplier, Lumax Industries, has earmarked Rs.100 crore for expansion of its existing facilities and make operational changes over the next one year. In a regulatory filing, the company is known to have said that the board has approved a capital expenditure plan of up to Rs.100 crore over a period of 12 months to expand the Sanand plant. This is expected to help the company to meet the rising demands of its customers. The lighting product portfolio of the company includes head lamps for four-wheelers and two-wheelers; rear combination lamps, auxiliary lamps and sundry lamps for Indian as well as global leading brands such as Hero MotoCorp, Honda Cars, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors. Lumax also supplies products to Audi, Nissan, JLR and John Deere.
